6 Shows To Watch After Finishing Bridgerton

If you’re anything like this writer, you’ve already binged the first part of season 4 of Bridgerton. This new season follows the second son, Benedict Bridgerton, as he embarks on a Cinderella-esque romance with the maid, Sophie Baek. While I won’t give away much, the first four episodes promise an enticing and packed final four episodes, which are set to land on February 26, 2026. While this means we have plenty of time to rewatch the first four episodes again, it also means we have to wait another month for our Bridgerton fix. Thankfully, other similar shows can hold you over. At the same time, we wait to see if Benedict ever realizes that Sophie is, in fact, the lady in silver (because it’s really obvious, Benedict). While many don’t have the same diversity, music, or opulence as Bridgerton, the similar eras and atmosphere will make you feel like it’s the same universe.

The Buccaneers

Aubri Ibrag, Imogen Waterhouse, Alisha Boe and Josie Totah in "The Buccaneers," now streaming on Apple TV.

Apple TV+

If you loved Bridgerton’s corsets, scandals, and slow-burn romances, The Buccaneers delivers all of that with a fresher, Gen Z–leaning edge. Set in the 1870s, the series follows a group of wealthy American women navigating London’s rigid high society, complete with forbidden love, power dynamics, and jaw-dropping gowns. Bridgerton fans will appreciate the modern sensibility layered over a historical setting, the emphasis on female friendship, and the tension between passion and social expectation. It’s glossy, dramatic, and unapologetically romantic, making it an easy next watch.

Dickinson

Hailee Steinfeld in “Dickinson” season three, now streaming on Apple TV+.Apple TV+

Dickinson is perfect for Bridgerton viewers who loved the show’s anachronistic flair and emotional intensity. This stylized take on poet Emily Dickinson’s life blends period costumes with modern music, sharp dialogue, and a strong focus on inner desire versus societal rules. Romance, rebellion, and self-discovery sit at the heart of the series, much like Bridgerton’s exploration of love constrained by tradition. Fans drawn to complex female leads, secret relationships, and stories about choosing passion over expectation will find this one deeply addictive.

Downton Abbey

For Bridgerton fans craving elegance, class tension, and slow-burn romance, Downton Abbey is a must. Set in early 20th-century England, the series explores love, ambition, and scandal across both aristocratic families and the staff who serve them. While it’s more restrained than Bridgerton, the emotional stakes are just as high, with forbidden romances, societal pressure, and richly drawn relationships. If you loved Bridgerton’s exploration of class divides and long, yearning looks across ballrooms, Downton Abbey offers a more traditional but equally satisfying fix.

The Gilded Age

From the creator of Downton Abbey, The Gilded Age feels tailor-made for Bridgerton fans who want opulence turned all the way up. Set in 1880s New York, the series centers on wealth, social climbing, and the ruthless battle to belong among the elite. Lavish costumes, strategic romances, and simmering rivalries echo Bridgerton’s obsession with status and reputation. Fans will love watching love stories unfold against a backdrop of power plays and societal rules, especially when ambition threatens to outweigh the heart.

Queen Charlotte

Set in the same universe, any fan of Bridgerton will likely have watched or planned to watch Queen Charlotte. The series acts as a prequel spinoff, showcasing how Queen Charlotte became the ultimate badass she is. Plenty of yearning, romance, and incredible costume design here make you feel like you’re watching Bridgerton all over again. However, beware, the series and its general meaning in the Bridgerton universe will have you emotional in all means.

My Lady Jane

If Bridgerton’s wit, irreverence, and playful tone were your favorite parts, My Fair Jane is a fun, genre-bending follow-up. This reimagined historical fantasy flips expectations with sharp humor, feminist themes, and a romance that refuses to follow the rules. Like Bridgerton, it doesn’t take history too seriously, instead prioritizing chemistry, banter, and emotional stakes. Bridgerton fans who loved strong female leads, unconventional love stories, and a little chaos mixed with corsets will find this one wildly entertaining. Although this show was sadly cancelled after only one season, it’s a perfect short series that entertains.
